Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Nairobi airport, where the guide will have a big paper with your name on it at the arrival terminal. Drive to the hotel, check in, relax, and your guide will help you to orient yourself to the places to visit within Nairobi. You will be staying at the Tamarind Tree Hotel on a bed and breakfast.

The following morning, you will wake up to an early morning breakfast followed by a transfer to Wilson Airport to catch your flight to Amboseli National Park, where you will interact with the huge elephant family herds. You will spend three days exploring the park set at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. The Park is an open ecosystem boasting huge herds of elephants, zebras, buffaloes, hyenas, lions, giraffes, gazelles, and numerous bird species, not to forget the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro, which offers a scenic background for photographers. Here you will indulge in mostly morning and late afternoon game drives, as this is when you get action of the elephants getting into and leaving the swamps and crossing the park roads from or to where they call home.

Ol Tukai Lodge, located inside the park, is one of the best spots in the world to watch elephants with the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Writers have described Ol Tukai and the surrounding Amboseli National Park as a home for the Gods. Ol Tukai is an Eco-rated lodge having excellent outdoor and indoor facilities, and a unique collection of African art. The lodge is strategically located at the heart of Amboseli National Park. On the 5th day, you will wake up to an early morning breakfast, after which you will check out and drive to Amboseli airstrip for a scheduled flight to Nairobi, where you will board an interconnecting flight to the Masai Mara. Enjoy four relaxed days in the Masai Mara with morning and evening shared game drives. While at the Maasai Mara, you will get a chance to explore the Mara, which involves visiting various river crossing points to witness and capture the wildebeests crossing the great Mara River in numbers, along with predator-prey action. Explore the vast tree-studded reserve in search of wildlife. Some of the famous wild animals in the park you are likely to encounter include: lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopard, cheetah, many kinds of birds, antelopes, and elephants.
Also, on one of the fine mornings, you may take an optional early morning balloon ride over the Mara plains that will be crowned with a champagne bush breakfast. Also, you may have an optional one-hour visit to the Masai village for a cultural encounter and souvenir shopping.
