This safari offers you a fascinating wildlife tour of Kenya’s best parks. It begins with a drive north of Nairobi to lake Naivasha where you will go on a boat ride and enjoy a guided walking safari and cycling safari at Hells gate National park then proceeds to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its pink flamingos and over 400 species of birds found here and a home to the endangered white rhinos, before heading south to Maasai Mara for 2 nights, where you will encounter the rest of the big five.

DETAILED ITINERARY

 

DAY 1: NAIROBI TO NAIVASHA

Get picked up from your Hotel in Nairobi by 7.30am followed by a drive down the Escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Lake.  Arrive for a mid-morning boat ride at the lake for bird watching and hippo viewing. You will proceed to the hotel for your lunch and a brief afternoon siesta. Next, head straight to Hell’s Gate National Park for a mini-safari- Here you have the option of a walking or biking safari as you see the wildlife and take photos. You will get an opportunity to see the gorges and also the geysers and Hot springs. Drive to lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 : NAIVASHA TO LAKE NAKURU

Enjoy a relaxed morning breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru. Enjoy a mid-morning game drive en-route to your hotel. Arrive in time for your lunch. Enjoy your lunch then check in to your rooms for a brief afternoon siesta, perhaps absorb the surrounding of the lodge before heading out for an evening game drive till sunset. Lake Nakuru is famous for its pink flamingos and over 400 species of birds found here. It is a home to the endangered white rhinos and it is one of the few parks in Kenya that you are guaranteed to see a Rhino. It is also a home of endangered species, particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the Black and White Rhino. Lions, Water-buck, Buffalo, Monkeys and Baboons are all residents’ here.

DAY 3 – NAKURU TO MAASAI MARA

Relaxed morning breakfast then depart for your drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve – the finest game reserve in the world. Arrive to the gate at around noon, check into the park and enjoy a short en-route game drive to the camp. Arrive to the camp on time for your lunch, a brief afternoon siesta perhaps absorb the surroundings of the camp before setting off for an evening game drive till sunset. Explore the vast tree studded reserve in search wildlife. Some of the famous wild animals in the park you are likely to encounter include: lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, many kinds of birds, antelopes and elephants.

DAY 4: EXPLORE MAASAI MARA

Enjoy a relaxed day in Masai Mara with morning and evening game drives in the reserve, you may opt to have a full day romantic adventure outings in the reserve, with a packed Picnic Lunch to be taken at a scenic, designated location on the Masai Mara savannah plains. Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the Natural world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded Savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop-shop for game viewing activities. You will traverse the Masai Mara reserve on Wildlife viewing drives encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. You will visit the Mara River Mara which involves visiting various river crossing points to witness and capture the wildebeests crossing the great Mara River in numbers along with predator prey action.

One of this day, you have the option of per taking an early morning balloon ride over the Mara plains that will be crowned with a champagne bush breakfast. DAY 5: DEPART MAASAI MARA TO NAIROBI
Being the final day of your safari, you will have a relaxed morning breakfast and check-out for your drive back to Nairobi. You may opt of souvenir shopping in Karen, farewell lunch at Talisman hotel (own cost) after which you will be dropped off at your hotel, airport or location of your choice within. This marks the end of the tour.
