This 5 Day safari package gives you a true nature, wildlife and cultural safari experience. The safari begins with a drive north of Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve where you will spend two days exploring the rugged and semi desert. It then proceeds to Lake Nakuru National Park; a well-known Rhino Sanctuary and bird paradise for a day then head to spend your night near Lake Elementaita and finally to Lake Naivasha- a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus, yellow acacias, hippos frolicking in the shallows and the cacophony of twittering birds, creates a lasting impression.

Get picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by our representative. Drive North of Nairobi to Samburu National reserve (6hrs drive). Arrive to lodge in time for your lunch. Afternoon siesta followed by evening game drive in the reserve. Samburu Game Reserve is a rugged and semi-desert park located in Samburu district in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The park neighbors the homes of the Samburu tribe of Kenya, a tribe known for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life. Besides the numerous wildlife found in this game reserve, the park is also a bird haven. The reserve is reach in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also popular with a lot of elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard and Cheetah are an important attraction. Return to camp for dinner and Overnight.

Relaxed morning breakfast then depart for a morning game drive in the reserve. Samburu is a home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). Birdlife is abundant with over 450 species recorded. Birds of the arid northern bush country are augmented by a number of riverine forest species. Lesser Kestrel and the Taita Falcon are species of global conservation concern and they both utilize the reserve. Five species categorized as vulnerable have been recorded in the reserve. These include; African Darter, Great Egret, White-headed Vulture, Martial Eagle and the Yellow-billed Ox-pecker. You have an option to drive to one of the villages for a mid-morning cultural encounter with the Samburu tribe. The Samburu are known for their many unique cultural practices and traditions. Some of these originate from their nomadic way of life. Return to camp for lunch (you may also opt to carry picnic lunch boxes in the morning for a full day experience). Afternoon siesta and an evening game drive. Return to camp for dinner and Overnight.

Wake up to early morning breakfast then depart Samburu for Lake Nakuru. Enjoy a short last en-route game drive on your way out and thereafter commence drive to Nakuru. A simple complimentary lunch will be provided at a traveller’s motel. Upon arrival around 3 pm, you enjoy an evening game drive in the park as you en route to the lodge. Arrive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will have an early breakfast and depart to the park. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 1-hour drive to Naivasha. You will arrive for lunch and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the late afternoon, you will take a 1 hour boat-ride around Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Relaxed morning breakfast then commence the drive to Hell’s Gate National Park. Arrive at around 9 am and start of the biking tour for 2 hours. Hell’s Gate is one of Kenya’s smaller national parks, which can be explored on foot. This is followed by a bicycle ride amid gracefully grazing gazelles, larger antelopes, Zebras and Giraffe is a delightful experience. Later depart for Nairobi. You may opt of souvenir shopping in Karen, farewell lunch at Talisman hotel (own cost) after which you will be dropped off at your hotel, airport or location of your choice within.
