Overview
This magnificent Nairobi excursion tour takes you to some of the major attractions in the city; It begins with a 4 hours morning game drive at Nairobi National Park which is located approximately 7 kilometers south of the center of Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city, with only a fence separating the park’s wildlife from the metropolis. Nairobi’s skyscrapers can be seen from the park. Visit the DSWT Elephant orphanage- learn more about the baby elephants and what led them to be orphans. You will get more information on raising them and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness. Lunch at Matbronze then proceeds to Giraffe Center, a sanctuary established as a breeding center for Rothschild giraffes. At the center you will come up close to the giraffes to take amazing photos. Finally, you will end your excursion tour with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum where author Karen Blixen lived between 1914 and 1931.Â

DETAILED ITINERARY
Early morning 6Am pick at your hotel/residence then then proceed to Nairobi National park through the main gate for your morning game drive. Your guide will be aiming to show you as much variety of animals as possible. If you’re lucky, you may spot the rhinos and lions getting ready for the day.
At 10:30 am you will leave for the elephant orphanage which is only open for a short period each day from 11:00 am to 12:00. Here you will learn more about the baby elephants and what led them to be orphans. You will get more information on raising them and the efforts being made to re-introduce them back to the wilderness.
After your tour at the elephant orphanage, you will have about an hour for lunch (own expense), then you will visit giraffe center. Here you see the magnificent creatures and learn why they are endangered. You will also learn their behaviors, traits and more conservation education. To cap the visit, you get the chance to feed them and maybe get a giraffe kiss.
You then have the option of being driven to lunch at a nearby good restaurant. After your lunch we will proceed for an afternoon visit to The Karen Blixen Museum. A famous white settler story, depicted in the famous movie Out of Africa. You’ll learn the story of this amazing woman and how she changed the lives of the local people. Later you will be dropped off at your hotel.
